THE PRACTICAL EMOTIONAL LITERACY™  PROGRAM

Equip your organization to work through challenging situations more effectively.

The Practical Emotional Literacy™  Program is an application-supported learning experience that teaches people how challenging emotions function, what they may be bringing to their attention, and how to use that understanding to navigate situations, work through differences, and create better outcomes.

Invest in a practical skill set that strengthens your people and your results.

Knowled ge matters.
Capability is what puts it to work

The Practical Emotional Literacy™ Program combines essential working knowledge with the development of 15 foundational skills participants learn to apply throughout the Program. But the learning doesn't stop with knowing or practicing individual skills. The Program is designed to help participants bring that knowledge and those skills together in real situations—developing practical capabilities they can use when emotionally challenging situations arise.

Participants will develop the following nine capabilities to actively apply at work:

What Particpants Learn

The Program develops the ability to:
Understand why challenging emotions activate and see them differently.
Identify active emotions and understand what they may be signalling.
Separate what someone knows from what they're interpreting or assuming.
Exercise Agency and determine what appears suitable to do next.
Bring everything together when navigating real and emotionally challenging situations.
People in your organization will develop a working knowledge of eleven challenging emotions: Anger, Guilt, Envy, Fear, Anxiety, Jealousy, Sadness, Shame, Disgust, Loneliness, and Grief, with deep dive application involving Anger, Anxiety, and Guilt. The most common emotions found in the workplace.

What's Included In the Learning Experience
